Halloween 2011: Flower Child

*waves*

So this is another halloween post. Once again, everything used was eyeshadows and they were all from the 120 palette. A black pencil liner was used to outline. This look is great for someone who wants to attempt to try their hand at a makeup face mask :)

Lol, you know this is throwback because I had blonde-y hair you guys! haha. I really think the red lip and lashes are what help sets this look off.  This look is great for a fun look for halloween and I personally think its also cute for a hippie/70's costume of some sort....Hope you loves enjoy!

Halloween 2011: Two Faced

So... I have some makeup looks that I previously did and also some that I plan on doing so I said I'd do a few halloween posts since I now have a blog. So that is the reasoning behind why there may be different hairstyles and whatnot going on lol This look in particular is for someone who's looking to do something that's scary, yet sexy. It'll be way too much for me to list products for these upcoming looks (sowwwwry) because they take so many but I can assure you that ALL products for this particular look consisted of eyeshadows and I also used a black gel liner. Here's the look...

"If you're going to be two faced at least make one of them pretty" - Marilyn Monroe

When I saw that MM quote it inspired this look. I don't typically post my more creative looks on here but halloween is the perfect time to do so so I hope you loves enjoy! This would be especially easy for a costume because since the face is already doing so much I would honestly just throw on a black catsuit/jumper and boots (or heels to seeex it up :) and you're good to go!

Lipstick Lovin' :: MAC Russian Red

Salutations.

Yall know I love a bold red lip, and for me it doesn't get much better than Russian Red for that category.

THE GOOD: Easy to apply, I've heard that other reds like Ruby Woo apply like crayons but this isn't the case here. A pro for me is that it's matte, as I'm not of fan of lustre looking red lipsticks. This doesn't feather and doesn't absolutely need a lipliner. The staying power on this is AH-MAY-ZING! I'm almost sure I wore it several times for 6+ hours without reapplying
or significant fading. And most important. It makes your teeth look WHITEEEEE. Like I mean, mine aren't yellow or anything but anyone should be able to appreciate an instant teeth brightener in a small tube, yes? :)

THE QUESTIONABLE: It's a matte. For some people that's a con because it's drying. But almost all mattes are drying, ok? Ok.

*Warning: Red lips may incite laughter, spontaneous webcam photoshoots and temporary (or permanent) Iamtheshitness syndrome*

Rates? *drumrolls*

My favorite bright red! What's yours?

Love the Lash: MAC #3

Hey loves,

So yet another one of my sudden disappearances is contributed to a hospital stay :( But now that I'm home and chained to the bed for a week or so the only thing on my agenda is to catch up with school work so I thought I'd do a post. If you've been following me for a while you'd know that my favoriteeeeee lashes ever are MAC #2 but I'd had an extreme issue finding them at local stores and counters so I decided to try #3. They look very similar to #2 except they're shorter and more natural looking (as natural as fake lashes go lol). I'm still loyal to my #2's, but mainly because as long as these are, I prefer longer!  I thought I'd post because these are a solid replacement and may better equip those don't like the "drag queen lash". I've been using a different adhesive for a while so I'll also post on that later this week. Here's the lash...

Very pretty! I love that false lashes provide fullness and shape to any look and besides my eyebrow pencils and lipsticks would have to be my favorite item! Lashes aren't necessarily essentials but are pretty darn nice to have! Tell me your favorite lash in the comments if you have one! Hope you've all been well and stay tuned for some more posts this week!

Lipstick Lovin' :: Inglot Slim Gel #65

Ayo.

I love Inglot. I love the color of this lippie, and that's about it.

I bought this a while ago when I was visiting NY. I fell in LOVE with the color, as a true purple-y lilac-y shade is very hard to come across.

PROS: Beautiful color, applies well, slightly buidable, feels smooth and moisturizing on lips

CONS: Such a smooth lipstick that it feels like it'll melt on a hot day (or in your purse) or easily break if pressed even slightly hard. I kept mine in the fridge all summer. The biggest issue is that it is not long lasting at ALL. I constantly found myself applying then reapplying not too long after. The subsequent issue to that is that this is as it is called a SLIM STICK so with all the reapplications that it takes it eats up so much of the lippie in such a short amount of time it definitely left me wondering if it was worth the $12 price tag. And I don't like to worry about my lipsticks running out after a few uses ya know?!

With that being said, I later got my hands on MAC's Go For It (LE) but for what would've been an extra $2 or so you're getting basically the same color with a lot more staying power. How'd I rate? *drumrolls*

Mostly because I'm out here on a budget tryna get my $$$ worth! Yadaaaamean???! As much as I love the color I cannot justify this as a $12 plus 8.25% tax percentage purchase! lol Tried any Inglot lipsticks? What was your experience?

xoxo.

FOTD: Game Face

So the only reason I like fall/winter is back.... yes football has came back into my life and I could not be happier.  I'll generally watch any games that are on but I only go hard for the big boys E-A-G-L-E-S!!! When I'm not wearing any Eagles related paraphernalia during games you can almost bet I'll have some green painted on my face! Yesterday I decided to do a Eagles inspired cut-crease in honor of my boys 1st regular season game. The Eagles green is actually more of a teal-ish blue green so I grabbed some colors from my 120 palette (AGAIN! lol) The look..

Face => MAC Studio Tech foundation in NW45,  Brow pencil in Stud, Studio Sculpt  concealer in NW45, MSF Natural in Dark, La Femme blush in Sienna, Blunt blush for contour
Lips => MAC Fresh Brew l/s, Instant Gold l/g
Eyes => Used the 120 palette (follow the hearts :) Dolla holla store silver glitta liner on top lashline, white kohl on waterline, Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara

In case anyone's wondering the birds won 31-13. A win means a great start to the week. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

xoxo.

Lipstick Lovin' :: MAC Ravishing

Heyyyy!

Maybe a few months ago I mentioned that I bought (or wanted to get) MAC's Ravishing lipstick. I did end up getting it and I love it! It's a cremesheen formula so it goes on pretty nicely (although not as great as my other CS) but any flaws in the lipstick can be concealed by placing a gloss on top.

This lippie does have strong coral undertones but I'm wearing it here with MAC's Fulfilled plushglass which pushes it slightly pinkish :)

I think this is a great coral-y pink that can be worn with a wide range of looks. It wears on an average of 3-4 hours for me. Pros to this lipstick is that it is easily buildable for a lighter or more vibrant flush of color AND I can wear this shade without a lipliner (or gloss!). The only con for me is that I do find it extremely drying and exfoliated lips are a MUST for this! I would have to compare the color to a toned down Vegas Volt (One of my favvvvs). Rating? *drumrolls*

What do you think? Have any of you cupcakes tried this shade?

xoxo.
