FOTD: Purple Haze

*waves*

Hey loves! So today's look features a beautiful purple from the plum loose eyeshadow ornament from the MAC Holiday collection. All of these are sooooo pretty and highly pigmented (and such a steal for the price!). This is a quick (like seriously FAST) look that's great for a pop of color during the holiday season...

Eyes => Carbon, plum pigment (MAC Holiday) and MSF in Dark as highlight. Engraved e/l in waterline. See. That simple. lol I later added Filament e/s as a highlight so that's an option if you prefer a little more holiday sparkle :)

Face => Peachykeen blush, Blunt for contour. I also later added Honor blush as a highlight, also for a little more shimmer!

Lips=> Fresh brew l/s, Instant gold l/g

I took out my weave to give my hair a break and I get more in love with natural hair every time! The biggest problem is that even with all the vids/resources available I still find that I truly have NO idea of what to do with it. But I guess that'll come in time when I spend more time out of weaves and figure out what works for me. I laughed so hard because a lady actually asked me which ponytail piece I had in my hair because it looked so "real" :) Well maam that's because it is! Lol all's well over here. I'm seriously slacking on Christmas shopping so I have to get around to it soooon! The only thing I reaaaaaally want is a train case or zuca for makeup and Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy and Gucci Guilty fragrances! (I'll probably treat myself) What's on your list this year?

FOTD: Color Smash

*waves*

Helloooooo! While I understand I've been extremely neglectful I've been extremely busy. Life's real hectic trying to finish the school year strong and work! The crazy thing is that I have so much stuff to post but haven't had a chance. Forgive me! So since I feel terrible I wanted to stop by and post a look. This look is just a bunch of colors thrown together and then accented with a bright lip! Here it is...

Also, I never posted which company I was so excited to be working for (although I've made it obvious in the above photo) ....so if you guessed...

You're 100% correct! And I loveeeee it! Yesterday was World Aids Day so if you get a chance support (and add to your makeup collection) by purchasing a Viva Glam lipstick/lipglass! My mom surprised me with the Viva Glam bear collectible ornament and its too cute!

Nailsss: Pink, Black and Glitter Mix!

*waves*
Heyyy :) So I had decided to repaint my nails and I wanted to try something a little different that was also fun. I don't usually wear designs on every finger but I have to say I really like the change because it really does symbolize nail ART! For these nails I used a hot pink, black, and silver glitter nail polishes (all from my mother's collection) along with Seche Vite as a topcoat. Here's the look...

I did each nail on the whim and overall I like it and I think I'll continue to experiment with my nails.

My faveeeee is the leopard print pinky (of course! Lol) But really these are eye catching colors in general. I like gaudy things so I'm not surprised that I have been reeled into these nails. I love feeling different and knowing that no one has the EXACT same anything as you. I know where I live actual nail art is becoming increasingly popular. S/N: Does anybody watch BBWLA?! I was just catching up on some episodes I missed and Jackie is soooo funny/crazyyyy Lol OMGGG. I just had to add that yall. But back to topic, how do you loves wear your nails? All solids or mix it up? I wanna know! :)

FOTD: Monday Night Football

*waves*

So, if you know I am a crazed die-hard Eagles fan. This week I was lucky enough to be in attendance at Monday night's football game. So if you saw it, you know we lost. *tears* But I had a blast at the game and of course yall know my makeup had to be celebratory!!! Here's the look...

For this look I used the same green from the first Eagles look from my 120 palette, and Hocus Pocus e/s from MAC. This picture doesn't really show it, but I used 3 glitta liners on this eye. A forest green one on my upper lashline, silver on my lower eyeline (towards the front) and a apple green one towards the end of the lower lashline. This gave it an amazing dimensional glitta thang in person! The eyes could've been neater but I overslept and was in a rush to get dressed. I used Brave New Bronze l/s, Cork l/l and Instant Gold l/g on my lips, and La Femme Blush in Redwood.

Soooooo even though my boys lost I know we'll be back! And can yall see how OBSESSED I am with these glitter liners?!!! No such thing as too much glitter! (Unless its "Kesha style") LOL. Also, I got a chance to see Puss in Boots 3D and I lovedddddddd it!!! :) In case you noticed I am also wearing new hair. It's some Virgin Brazilian natural wavy that I ordered from a Chinese vendor. I'll do a post on it once I wear it for a while but right now its loveee! How was your weekend?

Eyes => MAC Blacktrack fluidline, Carbon Eyeshadow, Inglot #366 matte, Inglot #350 matte, MAC 3D gold glitter, Duo lash to adhere
Face => MAC Studio tech foundation, Dark MSF, La Femme Red Blush
Lips => MAC Vino l/l, Russian Red l/s

S/N: How awesome is the bling eye patch!!! Lol I had to have it!

I loveeeee halloween! We saw some of the funniest/cutest costumes while out! Did you loves get dressed/plan to dress up for halloween?

Half Wiggin' It: Outre Amber

*waves*

So I ordered some new hair and I absolutely could not standdddd to keep my previous hair in so I needed something quick and cheap to hold me over. I had brought this wig before my install so it was perfect. I believe I paid 24.99 for it at my local beauty supply.

I don't usually wear my curly weaves long but she is gorgeous!!! I did chop about an inch or two off of the ends but the length still doesn't bother me. This has such a pretty curl pattern and I like curly weaves (synthethic) because they tend to have a longer life span than straight ones. It's easy to maintain with water and I use my Remington curling wand to curl my leave out. The wig is synthetic so it will burn baby, burn! Lol All in all this is a nice buy and I'll definitely be buying her in the future. S/N: I am totally on my "vamp" lips for fall! I've been wearing dark lips almost everyday! Lovessss them! What do you loves think?

FOTD: Heavy liner, Bold Lips

*waves*

So today's fotd is brought to you with NEWS! YES! Exciting. It's very simple, minimal makeup but still makes a statement with the heavy liner and lips. The look...

S/N: Aren't these earrings lovely?! I purchased several "Basketball Wives" earrings and these are my absolute favorite! And oh how they shineeee :)

I used WnW H2o liquid liner in Ultra Black to achieve the winged eye and I;m wearing #3 lashes...MAC Nightmoth l/l, Violetta l/s and Fab Frenzy superglass for the lip =)

So where'd I actually go in this look? I went to fill out my new hire paperwork for.... can you guess where?! (sssshhhh..I still don't want to jinx it! lol) I'm very much excited as I'd been attempting to get in with this company for a while and after so many interviews you begin to wonder if it's every really going to happen...and it did FINALLY! I have a few other BIG things coming up that I'm excited for. I also have some makeup posts that I was saving for this moment and they feature an interesting spin on interview appropriate makeup so stay tuned for that =) Also, I finally picked up a halloween costume (sexy in fashion, of course lol) and I'm thinking of some makeup ideas to later do a post and COTD (Costume of the Day lol!) . Are you loves getting dressed up and if so, what as?

Halloween 2011: Flower Child

*waves*

So this is another halloween post. Once again, everything used was eyeshadows and they were all from the 120 palette. A black pencil liner was used to outline. This look is great for someone who wants to attempt to try their hand at a makeup face mask :)

Lol, you know this is throwback because I had blonde-y hair you guys! haha. I really think the red lip and lashes are what help sets this look off.  This look is great for a fun look for halloween and I personally think its also cute for a hippie/70's costume of some sort....Hope you loves enjoy!

Halloween 2011: Two Faced

So... I have some makeup looks that I previously did and also some that I plan on doing so I said I'd do a few halloween posts since I now have a blog. So that is the reasoning behind why there may be different hairstyles and whatnot going on lol This look in particular is for someone who's looking to do something that's scary, yet sexy. It'll be way too much for me to list products for these upcoming looks (sowwwwry) because they take so many but I can assure you that ALL products for this particular look consisted of eyeshadows and I also used a black gel liner. Here's the look...

"If you're going to be two faced at least make one of them pretty" - Marilyn Monroe

When I saw that MM quote it inspired this look. I don't typically post my more creative looks on here but halloween is the perfect time to do so so I hope you loves enjoy! This would be especially easy for a costume because since the face is already doing so much I would honestly just throw on a black catsuit/jumper and boots (or heels to seeex it up :) and you're good to go!

Lipstick Lovin' :: MAC Russian Red

Salutations.

Yall know I love a bold red lip, and for me it doesn't get much better than Russian Red for that category.

THE GOOD: Easy to apply, I've heard that other reds like Ruby Woo apply like crayons but this isn't the case here. A pro for me is that it's matte, as I'm not of fan of lustre looking red lipsticks. This doesn't feather and doesn't absolutely need a lipliner. The staying power on this is AH-MAY-ZING! I'm almost sure I wore it several times for 6+ hours without reapplying
or significant fading. And most important. It makes your teeth look WHITEEEEE. Like I mean, mine aren't yellow or anything but anyone should be able to appreciate an instant teeth brightener in a small tube, yes? :)

THE QUESTIONABLE: It's a matte. For some people that's a con because it's drying. But almost all mattes are drying, ok? Ok.

*Warning: Red lips may incite laughter, spontaneous webcam photoshoots and temporary (or permanent) Iamtheshitness syndrome*

Rates? *drumrolls*

My favorite bright red! What's yours?

Love the Lash: MAC #3

Hey loves,

So yet another one of my sudden disappearances is contributed to a hospital stay :( But now that I'm home and chained to the bed for a week or so the only thing on my agenda is to catch up with school work so I thought I'd do a post. If you've been following me for a while you'd know that my favoriteeeeee lashes ever are MAC #2 but I'd had an extreme issue finding them at local stores and counters so I decided to try #3. They look very similar to #2 except they're shorter and more natural looking (as natural as fake lashes go lol). I'm still loyal to my #2's, but mainly because as long as these are, I prefer longer!  I thought I'd post because these are a solid replacement and may better equip those don't like the "drag queen lash". I've been using a different adhesive for a while so I'll also post on that later this week. Here's the lash...

Very pretty! I love that false lashes provide fullness and shape to any look and besides my eyebrow pencils and lipsticks would have to be my favorite item! Lashes aren't necessarily essentials but are pretty darn nice to have! Tell me your favorite lash in the comments if you have one! Hope you've all been well and stay tuned for some more posts this week!

xoxo.

Lipstick Lovin' :: Inglot Slim Gel #65

Ayo.

I love Inglot. I love the color of this lippie, and that's about it.

I bought this a while ago when I was visiting NY. I fell in LOVE with the color, as a true purple-y lilac-y shade is very hard to come across.

PROS: Beautiful color, applies well, slightly buidable, feels smooth and moisturizing on lips

CONS: Such a smooth lipstick that it feels like it'll melt on a hot day (or in your purse) or easily break if pressed even slightly hard. I kept mine in the fridge all summer. The biggest issue is that it is not long lasting at ALL. I constantly found myself applying then reapplying not too long after. The subsequent issue to that is that this is as it is called a SLIM STICK so with all the reapplications that it takes it eats up so much of the lippie in such a short amount of time it definitely left me wondering if it was worth the $12 price tag. And I don't like to worry about my lipsticks running out after a few uses ya know?!

With that being said, I later got my hands on MAC's Go For It (LE) but for what would've been an extra $2 or so you're getting basically the same color with a lot more staying power. How'd I rate? *drumrolls*

Mostly because I'm out here on a budget tryna get my $$$ worth! Yadaaaamean???! As much as I love the color I cannot justify this as a $12 plus 8.25% tax percentage purchase! lol Tried any Inglot lipsticks? What was your experience?

xoxo.

FOTD: Game Face

So the only reason I like fall/winter is back.... yes football has came back into my life and I could not be happier.  I'll generally watch any games that are on but I only go hard for the big boys E-A-G-L-E-S!!! When I'm not wearing any Eagles related paraphernalia during games you can almost bet I'll have some green painted on my face! Yesterday I decided to do a Eagles inspired cut-crease in honor of my boys 1st regular season game. The Eagles green is actually more of a teal-ish blue green so I grabbed some colors from my 120 palette (AGAIN! lol) The look..

Face => MAC Studio Tech foundation in NW45,  Brow pencil in Stud, Studio Sculpt  concealer in NW45, MSF Natural in Dark, La Femme blush in Sienna, Blunt blush for contour
Lips => MAC Fresh Brew l/s, Instant Gold l/g
Eyes => Used the 120 palette (follow the hearts :) Dolla holla store silver glitta liner on top lashline, white kohl on waterline, Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara

In case anyone's wondering the birds won 31-13. A win means a great start to the week. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

xoxo.

Lipstick Lovin' :: MAC Ravishing

Heyyyy!

Maybe a few months ago I mentioned that I bought (or wanted to get) MAC's Ravishing lipstick. I did end up getting it and I love it! It's a cremesheen formula so it goes on pretty nicely (although not as great as my other CS) but any flaws in the lipstick can be concealed by placing a gloss on top.

This lippie does have strong coral undertones but I'm wearing it here with MAC's Fulfilled plushglass which pushes it slightly pinkish :)

I think this is a great coral-y pink that can be worn with a wide range of looks. It wears on an average of 3-4 hours for me. Pros to this lipstick is that it is easily buildable for a lighter or more vibrant flush of color AND I can wear this shade without a lipliner (or gloss!). The only con for me is that I do find it extremely drying and exfoliated lips are a MUST for this! I would have to compare the color to a toned down Vegas Volt (One of my favvvvs). Rating? *drumrolls*

What do you think? Have any of you cupcakes tried this shade?

xoxo.

FOTD: Nature Feels

So I've been OBSESSED with the man, Frank Ocean these last coupla months. Unless you've been living under a rock I hope you've already downloaded this goodness. Anywho, I had "Nature Feels" on repeat when I was getting dressed and I was inspired. I swear I wasn't drinking. The look...

\

Face => MAC Studio Tech foundation in NW45,  Brow pencil in Stud, Studio Sculpt  concealer in NW45, MSF Natural in Dark, La Femme blush in Bordeaux, Blunt blush for contour
Lips => MAC Russian Red. I don't usually but today I outlined with concealer for a sharper line around my bottom lip.
Eyes => Used the 120 palette (follow the hearts :) Dolla holla store green glitta liner on inner corners, MAC blacktrack on waterline, Maybelline XXL mascara

Yall know I faithfully wear my MAC #2's or 3's but for this look I wore another pair of my favorite lashes: Kiss ENVY human hair lashes in "Juicy Volume 03" (KPE14). They're VERY dramatic and are winged galore!

The track that started it all...

Annnnnnd a bonus mini webcam photo shoot :)

Today was a good day. I found my "lost" eyebrow pencil and I got some great deals while out shopping. Inspiration is a great thing. I guess the randomness of this look is pretty good because Halloween is coming and this is an EXCELLENT look if you plan on dressing like "Eve" (as in Adam and not the rapper lol) or maybe a vamped up "Poison Ivy". If you haven't heard Frank Ocean check him out ASAP!

xoxo.
